Food Processor vs Blender

The food processor vs blender. – Which one should you buy and why should you buy it?

A blender and a food processor can do many of the same tasks. After all, they both have metal blades that spin inside of a container.

The blender is fantastic for making drinks by blending various items together. It is also great at turning fruits and soft vegetables into liquids. The design of the blender makes it ideal for creating drinks because it is tall and can hold a lot of liquid.

In addition to this, it is shaped perfectly for pouring. For this reason, bars and restaurants love using blenders to quickly make drinks for their customers.

The food processor vs blender debate continues.

The food processor on the other hand is great for doing various procedures on solid foods and hard vegetables. It can chop, mince, slice, shred, and grind with ease. One food processor can easily replace several drawers worth of kitchen tools and save you a lot of time doing food prep work each day.

Although a food process can make liquids and a wide array of fruit and vegetable juices, it is not the best tool for the job. When thinking through the food processor vs blender debate, you have to determine what you’ll be using the tool for.

When you want to simply make drinks and occasionally chop something up, a blender is probably your best bet. Creating a milkshake or a fruit smoothie with a blender is a much simpler task than doing it with a food processor. It will also end up being a much quicker clean up process for you as well.

Typically a blender will only have two pieces that need to be cleaned. These are the actual containers where the food or liquid is blended up and the lids used to cover the container.

A food processor will generally have a few more pieces to clean up when you are done. On the plus side, these pieces are typically dishwasher safe. However, not everyone has a dishwasher, so the food processor vs blender choice might come down to ease of cleaning for some.

Food Processor Vs Blender Price

Another issue to consider when deciding between the food processor vs blender, is the price. Generally blenders can be really cheap. This being said, a good blender can cost well over a hundred dollars and so can a good food processor.

Overall, a food processor will be more expensive than a blender. The less expensive models cost more than the less expensive blenders and the more expensive ones cost more than the more expensive ones.
